How to view your shared web hosting server usage

On shared web hosting servers there are a finite amount of resources available for use at any given time, for all users on that shared server. The HostPapa system administrators monitor individual accounts on the server for excessive use.

How to view your current usage in real-time:

To view your website’s current resource usage stats:

Note: displays may vary slightly depending on your server

  1. Log into your website’s cPanel
  1. Scroll down to the bottom section, past all the cPanel icons
  2. Near the bottom of the page, you’ll see your website’s current, real-time resource usage under the Statistics heading.

How to view your resource usage history:

To view your website’s past resource usage stats in the CloudLinux widget:

  1. Log into your website’s cPanel
  1. Scroll down to the Metrics section

  1. Click CPU and Concurrent Connection Usage
  1. If your account has any server usage issues, you will see them displayed on the page. If not, click Details to view your desired resource usage information.cloud2
  1. After clicking Details, choose the desired time frame you’d like to inspect and click Submit

  2. You will see diagrams and tables showing detailed usage statistics

CPU – CPU limits
vMEM/vM – Virtual Memory limits
pMEM/pM – Physical Memory limits
EP – Entry Processes
nPROC/nP – Number of Processes
IO – Input/Output limits

average/a – average used
limit/l – limit set for account
max/m – maximum used

f – failure
